Whether it's breakfast in bed, a home-cooked dinner, or a decadent dessert, taking the time to prepare a special meal for your mom is a wonderful way to show your appreciation. Take the time to reflect on your favorite memories together, and let her know how much you appreciate all that she does for you. This Mother's Day, make an effort to spend some quality time with your mom. Whether it's going for a walk, watching a movie together, or simply chatting over a cup of coffee, the time you spend together will be a gift in itself.
Give her a day off - Moms work hard all year round, and sometimes the best gift you can give them is a day off. Take care of the chores, run errands, and let your mom relax and do whatever she wants. Whether she chooses to read a book, take a nap, or spend time with friends, giving her a day off to recharge and rejuvenate is a wonderful way to show your love.
Do something kind for someone else in her honor - A heartfelt things you can do for your mom on Mother's Day is to do something kind for someone else in her honor. Better yet, help someone in need together! Whether it's donating to a charity she supports, volunteering your time at a local organization, or simply performing a random act of kindness, doing something to make the world a better place is a beautiful way to honor your mom's legacy of love and kindness.
Lynn here - my mom passed away when I was just starting my family over 25 years ago. I miss her terribly and cherish what a great mom she was. She was always willing to babysit my children (age 2 and 4 1/2 at the time of her death) and come help me with laundry, cleaning or anything I needed. Lucky for me, we did have the opportunity to spend a lot of time together throughout the years. Just a reminder to cherish your mom while she is still with you! As a Mom, below is one of my most treasured gifts from my son - his teacher gave me this, a writing prompt from first grade asking who is the most important person to him, below is his response in his words

Olivia here - I am lucky to call my mom one of my best friends, 10 year old me would have said you are crazy for saying that, but it is true. My appreciation for her grows as I get older, recognizing all the hard work and sacrifices she made to ensure that me and my brothers had everything that we needed growing up. She is one of my biggest role models, and supporters. I truly do not know where I would be without her.
